Slippery and Sticky Superoleophobicities on Hierarchical Aluminum Surfaces Fabricated by Electrochemical Etching and Anodizing Methods

Slippery and sticky superoleophobic aluminum surfaces were fabricated by electrochemical etching anodizing methods. Collective structures of sub-micrometer-scale cubic-shaped formed high-purity in HCl. The etched specimens then anodized H 4 P 2 O 7 to form anodic alumina nanofibers (AANFs) on the cubic surface, resulting a hierarchical aluminum-alumina structure. As water/oil-repellent self-assembled monolayers their surfaces, superoleophobicity dodecane was more than 150° advancing contact angle exhibited surfaces. Conversely, receding changed drastically with time because different nanomorphology AANFs; short caused slippery high values, whereas long resulted 0°. We demonstrated slipping behavior droplets completely opposite sliding properties. corrosion resistant property surface also investigated measurements potentiodynamic curve 3.5 wt% sodium chloride solution.
